Things to do in Jackson Hole in Summer – Free Evening Concerts
There are a 1001 things to do in Jackson Hole in summer. After a day recreating in the mountains, on the lakes and rivers, or in the Old West of Jackson, come check out a free dinner show from 7pm – 10pm. The world famous apres ski bar, the Mangy Moose, offers free, family-friendly summer evening concerts several nights a week. The Hostel’s own Phish and Grateful Dead inspired Isaac Dann plays acoustic rock sets every Friday night.
Tuesdays feature the “sweet” guitar of Jim Stackhouse, while Thursdays feature the songs of longing and heartache of Brant Satala.
Another great evening activity (except Saturdays and certain nights when closed for a private party) is taking a free ride up the Gondola to the Deck at 9000′, where you can enjoy drinks and appetizers while taking in the magnificent views of Jackson Hole, often to free music. Or, if you head up exactly at 4:30pm, you can hike the Cirque Trail to the top of the Tram, which is free if you just ride it down. Make sure to get there by the last download at 6:3opm (thru Sept 1), our you’ll have to hike back to the top of the Gondola!
