Winter Activities FAQ's
Yes. The Hostel is located at the base of the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. You can click into your ski or snowboard bindings steps from The Hostel and, at the end of the day, ski right back to our front door. Centered amongst the four- and five-star hotels in Teton Village, Skiing Magazine says The Hostel is arguably the best location in Teton Village. Stay slopeside and eliminate shuttles, sitting in traffic, parking lots, and long walks in ski boots.
Jackson Hole Mountain Resort (JHMR) is widely regarded as one of the premier ski destinations in North America. It features:
- More than 2,500 acres of skiable terrain
- A vertical drop of 4,139 feet, one of the largest in the U.S.
- An average annual snowfall of over 450 inches
- The iconic Aerial Tram reaching the 10,450-foot summit of Rendezvous Mountain

Jackson Hole Mountain Resort's ski season typically opens in late November and runs through early April, with exact dates varying by year and snowpack. The mountain's high elevation and consistent snowfall often allow for one of the longer ski seasons in the Rocky Mountains. Check jacksonhole.com for current season dates and snow reports.
