Private Rooms

• King Rooms are good for couples. Maximum 3 persons.
  • Rates increase by $25 + taxes per day for a 3rd person.
  • Add a rollaway bed for $5 + taxes per day.
• Quad Rooms are good for families or guests who need separate beds. Maximum 5 persons.
  • Rates increase by $25 + taxes for a 5th person.
  • Add a rollaway bed for $5 + taxes per day.

Private Room Discounts:
Stay 30+ days and get a reduced monthly rate, tax-exempt (call or email for details).

Group Reservations

•  Groups of 5+ rooms require Hostel management pre-approval. 

Room or Floor Requests

• To accommodate all of our guests, we may change room and floor assignments.
• If you very much need to have a certain room or floor, please email or call us.
  • We will do our best to honor your request!

Minimum Lengths of Stay

• As availability drops, minimum lengths of stay (MLOS) of two to five nights may apply.
  • MLOS are continuous, uninterrupted stays
• Shortening such reservations incur a fee equal to the number of nights of the MLOS.

Deposit Policy

• A deposit of 50% is required on all reservations.
• A reservation is a continuous stay, regardless of room/room type changes during a stay.
• Reservations are guaranteed with MasterCard, Visa, Discover or American Express.
• The remaining balance will be collected at the time of check-in, for all nights.
  • Payable by cash, credit card or travelers’ checks.

Cancellation Policy

• CANCELLATION DEADLINE:
  
  • SPRING, SUMMER & FALL: TWO DAYS before your arrival date, at 3pm.
    • For groups of 5+ rooms, FOURTEEN DAYS before your arrival date.
    • For stays of 10+ days, FOURTEEN DAYS before your arrival date.
  • JHMR’s SKI SEASON: FOURTEEN DAYS before your arrival date.
• Before the CANCELLATION DEADLINE, the deposit is refunded, minus a 7% fee.
• After the CANCELLATION DEADLINE, or a no-show, the deposit is forfeited.

Delayed Arrival?

• We can push back your arrival date for you, protecting the remainder of your deposit. Please contact us to provide your new ETA.
• You will still owe all the nights’ charges during your delay.
• If we do not hear from you, and are unable to contact you, we may cancel the remainder or your reservation.

Leaving Early?

• We will refund the remaining credit, minus a 7% reprocessing fee, in the following manner:
  • You will still owe all nights to reach 50% of your intended stay.
  • You will still owe all nights within 48 HOURS after letting us know of your change of plans.
    • Each night “begins” at 3pm, the normal check-in time

Pet Friendly Hostel

• We can accommodate cats and dogs!
• The rate increases by $25+tax per night, per pet.
• We prefer to accommodate pets on the 1st and 2nd floors only.
• Kindly please do not leave any doggies in the room during the day if they are barky.
• Guests with pet allergies may request a dander-free room on the 3rd and 4th floors.

Check-In and Check-Out

Check-In Time: After 3:00 pm.
Check-Out Time: By 11:00 am.

•  If housekeeping finishes your room early, we may be able to check you in sooner.
•  Check-outs between noon and 1:00pm incur a late check-out fee of up to $25 + taxes.
•  Any late check-outs past 1:30pm incur a full night’s charge.
•  After closing hours check-ins: please call or email us in advance.

Non-Smoking Hostel

• Smoking inside the building will result in a fee of $150.00.
• There is a smoking area away from the guest rooms, on the north end of the Hostel.

Minimum Age

• The minimum age to stay at the Hostel, unaccompanied by an adult, is 18. 

Shipping and Handling Fees

• If you forget an item we can ship it to you. In additional to the shipping cost, there is a handling fee:
  • USPS – $5.00         UPS – $10.00  
  • Items sent via UPS are typically sent out on Tuesdays only. Please let us know the mailing address, a payment method if other than the credit card on file, the urgency, and whether additional insurance is required. Sorry, we cannot ship skis or snowboards.
• We offer limited package storage just prior to your arrival and between adjacent stays at no additional cost.
